Keeping your knife in tip top shape!
Are you having trouble keeping your knives in good condition? Korin’s knife sharpener, Vincent Kazuhito Lau, shares his expert advice with Culinary Agents on how to keep your knife in tip top shape!
Always keep your knife dry. Constantly wipe during use.
Wash your knife with warm water and soap.
If there are minor stains or discolorations, use ajax and a wine cork to clean.
Use water stones to sharpen knives periodically.
If you have carbon Knives, coat the knife in a thin layer of oil to prevent rusting when stored.
Avoid using HARD cutting boards to help the knife stay sharp longer..
Don’t put your knife in the dishwasher!!!!
